Finding a Buyer Isn’t Enough!

September 11, 2026

This Week’s Tip: Finding a Buyer Isn’t Enough!

Recently, both 54 Holland Road, Hillcrest and 12 Tetrarch Place, Totara Vale attracted 5+ bidders, with both selling within 28 days.

I’m not sharing this simply to say, “we had lots of buyers.”

The more important question is: why did multiple buyers choose these properties when they had so many other options?

In this market, our job isn’t simply to list your home and wait for enquiries. It’s to identify the right buyers, understand their situation, motivation and what they’ve already seen, and then create genuine competition around your property.

A large database sounds impressive. But 20,000 names aren’t necessarily 20,000 relevant buyers for your home.

That’s why we’re continuing to develop our Buyer Match System around one simple idea:

Known Buyers, Not Matched Buyers.

Technology can match bedrooms, location and budget. Experience and relationships help us understand why someone may actually buy your home.

And relationships matter. Sometimes buyers see our advertising but prefer to purchase through an agent they already know and trust. We completely understand that — and welcome it. In fact, both properties last week had two buyers introduced by other agents.

For us, it doesn’t matter who brings the buyer. What matters is creating the widest possible competition and the best opportunity for our owner.

In a market with more choice, finding a buyer isn’t enough. The goal is to make the right buyers choose yours.
